In todays Daily Rap 50 Cent to appear at the MOBOs, Lil Kim stopped by police, Snoop Dog to host MTV Europe Awards. 50 to appear at MOBOsRapper 50 Cent is slated to hit the stage at the 12th MOBO awards in London later this month. The event which will be held at the O2 arena in Greenwich on September 19th will also feature performances from Neyo, Robin Thicke and Jamelia. Rapper Dizzie Rascal and troubled songstress Amy Winehouse top the list of nominees. Both are nominated for four awards each.Lil Kim stoppedBrooklyn femcee Lil Kim born Kimberly Jones was stopped by police in Manhattan last week for driving a Lamborghini with no plates. The car valued at $200,000 was said to be a gift from the rappers new boyfriend, younger brother of singer Brandy, Ray J. The couple have been spotted in and around both LA and NYC. The car was driven away by the rappers lawyer when stopped in mid town as Lil Kim had failed to carry her license with her.Snoop to host MTV Europe Awards
Snoop Dogg may have faced extensive problems with his visas and gaining entry into certain worldwide countries, but Germany is welcoming the famed MC with open arms thanks to MTV. The LA based Snoop will be hosting this years MTV Europe awards to be held in Munich on November 1st this year. MTV have continued to support Snoop Dogg and his issues with authorities due to his numerous arrests. They fully supported the rappers efforts to gain entry to Australia.
Great Rappers coming together
The formation of The Standard. a Hip-Hop duo of incredible talent will be welcomed news to real Hip-Hop aficionados. The duo will comprise of A Tribe Called Quest front man Q Tip and famed Chicago rapper Common. In a recent interview Q Tip explained that the duo will more than likely come out on Universal records, where they are both situated as solo artists. Recording material has yet to commence but will very soon. Production will fall on the shoulders of Q Tip with the possibility of Kanye West contributing tracks. Common is signed to GOOD music, the label formed by Kanye West which also provides a home for Soul sensation John Legend.
