In Monday's Daily Rap the home of rapper DMX is raided, Def Jam founder Russell Simmons steps down, a woman dies in John Singleton car crash and there may be a Destiny' Child reunion. DMX Home RaidedArizona police raided the house of rapper DMX this weekend. The raid uncovered half a pound of narcotics, twelve malnourished dogs, a burned carcass of a dog which had been buried in the property and vehicles with plates that weren't traceable. DMX born Earl Simmons wasn't at the property and according to his representatives he hasn't been for some time as he is out on tour. The rapper left a caretaker in charge of the house and the dogs in his absence. No charges have yet to be filed against DMX and police did state that there were no signs that the dogs had been involved in any dog fighting. This comes at at time when Atlanta Hawks NFL player Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to a variety of charges involving breeding dogs for fighting and running dog fights. He has been suspended indefinitely from playing in the NFL. Russell Simmons steps down Def Jam founder Russell Simmons has stepped down from his CEO role at Phat Fashions LLC, another company founded by the mogul back in 1992. The clothing line was actually sold in 2004 to Kellwood and Simmons maintained his role as CEO. In a statement the founder explained "I have enjoyed my association with Kellwood over the last three years. We have accomplished much during this short period of time, and I leave the division and the brand in great hands. There are so many things I want to achieve, and this is the appropriate moment for me to move on to my next business venture." The company has branched off into extremely successful sub divisions, the most prominent being the Baby Phat line which is ran by Russell Simmons estranged wife and former model Kimora Lee Simmons. Movie Director involved in fatal car accident

John Singleton, the movie director who brought us Hustle and Flow was involved in a car accident that killed a woman on Thursday night. The 57 year old lady stepped out into the street as Singleton was driving by in his SUV. There have been no charges made against the Boyz in the Hood director. The woman named Constance Russell died in hospital on Friday morning.

Destiny's Child Reunion

In a recent interview Kelly Rowland one third of Destiny's Child hinted that there might be a DC reunion at some point in the near future. With her band mates, Beyonce and Michelle Williams, the trio have become one of the biggest selling female bands of all time. The three components of the group have individually gone on to their own projects, Beyonce Knowles being the most successful out of the three. The last time the three were seen together was in a video for a track from Beyonces sophomore solo album Birthday. The song called Get me Bodied featured the trio and Knowles younger sister Solange.
