The multi platinum selling artist is throwing a concert in Atlanta with NBA player Damien Wilkins which will feature himself, DTP member Shareefa and Def Jam recording artist Ne-Yo. The concert will be held at the beginning of September and donations will be taken at the door to benefit The Ludacris Foundation and The Damien Wilkins Foundation.Ja Rule in court over unpaid billsJeffrey Atkins AKA Ja Rule has been sued by a contractor who carried out work at his elaborate home in New Jersey. Joel Tobia was hired by the rapper to fix a leak in the roof of his mansion and the cost of the repairs amounted to$13,000 but only $4,000 was paid. According to the rappers lawyer Brian Neary, the problem lies with the fact that work was done but not necessarily completed satisfactorily. Neary also stated that the amount in contention is actually $4,000 as opposed to the $8,000 specified in the suit filed in Hackensack Municipal Court. There is a possibility that this case may go to criminal court.
Akon heading to reality TV
Akon is said to be working towards a reality TV show which will feature the singer and his two brothers. The two brothers who bear a striking resemblance to their brother have been monopolizing on the perks of the similarity and gaining access to VIP events, free food and an excess of women. Akon went on the record saying "Whenever I'm not in Atlanta, they go out posing as me and everyone believes it's actually me. It's so crazy, because everyone seriously believes it's me. It's a real life thing, which has got really out of hand in Atlanta, so I decided to take the situation and make it into my advantage by making a reality TV show out of it. They get my life, all the perks without having to put in all the hard work I do. I'm constantly working so I can't live it, but they are out there living it." Where the show will air is not yet known.
