Busta busted again
The trouble never seems to stop for Busta Rhymes. He was forbidden to appear on set for a movie in which he is to star this past weekend in New York City. The NYPD said that having the Brooklyn born rapper Trevor Smith on location in New York would be an extreme security concern for them.The movie in which Busta is to star is The Order of Redemption starring Tom Berenger.''This is tremendously unfair to Busta, who has been nothing but professional during this project,'' said director Jeff Celentano about the police concern into his participation in the shoot.

Busta has been under serious police scrutiny since he failed to talk to law enforcement officials after his body guard, Israel Ramirez was shot at a video shoot for his hit single Touch It last year.

Bow Wow branches out
The prodigy of Jermaine Dupri who was formerly known as Lil Bow Wow has indicated that he is going to be investing in an NBA team, like fellow rapper Jay Z who is involved with the New Jersey Nets.

The team which Bow Wow is expected to be involved with is still as yet under wraps, but this is not the only endeavor beyond Hip-Hop that the rapper has opted to involve himself in. He has invested into his first McDonalds franchise and co-owns a shoe store in his native Atlanta.

Jermaine Dupri receives Life Time Achievement Award
The producer/rapper who has continuously provided both rap and R&B with his unique production was recognized at the 2007 Soul Train Awards receiving the coveted Life Time Achievement Award from legendary Quincey Jones.

Jermaine who was present at the show with his girlfriend Janet Jackson was recently made the Head of Island Def Jam's new Urban department.

There was however some heavy criticism surrounding the award show as majority of winners at the event weren't present to accept awards. Beyonce, Mary J Blige and Jenifer Hudson were all winners this year.

Juvenile sued for damage to tour bus
New Orleans rapper Juvenile was recently sued by a Tennessee coach company for damage done to a bus the rapper had used while on tour.

The coach company, Ziggy's Custom Coaches reported $2,000 worth of damages to the coach.

Kenneth 'Supreme' Mcgriff Sentenced
After being found guilty for his involvements in the murders of two key Queens, NYC figures rapper E money Bags and a former business associate Troy Singleton last month, sentencing in the trial which has been under the watchful eye of the Hip-Hop community was settled at life imprisonment.

McGriff was a main component in the emergence of rapper 50 Cent and was also depicted in the movie Get Rich or Die Trying. McGriff was involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. "He devoted the better part of two decades to gangs, drug trafficking and violence, treating his prior sentences as mere interruptions in his pursuit of a life of crime," said US attorney Roslyn Mauskopf
