Common gets ready for new album
Chicago MC Common is getting ready to release his seventh studio album on July 10th. The album is titled Finding Forever which was inspired by the MC's late great friend producer J Dilla who died in February of last year.The album which will be released on Kanye West's GOOD Music label will include production from J Dilla and Kanye West and shall feature collaborations with Kanye West, D'Angelo and Lily Allen.Common was nominated for Best Rap album in th 2006 Grammy Awards for his 2005 release Be.Bobby Brown and Whitney are officially over
The platinum selling couple have had their divorce finalized in Orange County, California last week. The couple who were married for fourteen years had lived a very public life and it was Houston who had filed for divorce late last year citing irreconcilable differences.The Judge presiding over the case, Franz E Miller gave legal custody of the couples daughter Bobbi Christina to Whitney Houston. However it is expected that Bobbi Brown will contest the decision.
Rev Run to work with Kid Rock
Rev Run, one third of the pioneering Hip-Hop group Run DMC who had already infused rock with Hip-Hop with their groundbreaking track Walk This Way featuring Aerosmith will be working with rocker Kid Rock on new album.
"Me and Kid Rock are collaborating on making an album called Running With The Kid, sort of like what Clapton and BB King did with Riding with the King," Run said. "We sort of have them same styles in a way, at least we dress the same. He's a big Run-DMC fan and I grew to understand and like his music."
Rev Run has recently become a household name in America for his MTV show Run's House which shows the daily lives of he and his wife Justine and their five children.
