Def Jam Icon Game LaunchFamed for breaking musical boundaries, Def Jam and its roster have taken on the video game market with their new product Def Jam Icon.
The game which features artists and execs from the label recently launched in New York City and many of those featured in the game showed up off screen to partake in an evening of gaming fun. Famed 'gamers' Redman and Method Man were present at the launch along with Def jam founder Russell Simmons and executive Kevin Liles.
The game gives players a chance to compete as their favorite Hip-Hop celebrities in one of the most highly anticipated Hip-Hop lifestyle/fighting games on the market

Super-producer Timbaland to the rescue
Timothy 'Timbaland' Mosley is hoping that he may be able to help the troubled Britney Spears and revive her singing career after she has publicly sunk into a very deep depression since her break from husband Kevin Federline.

Timbaland has worked with Britney before and has enlisted Britney's ex boyfriends Justin Timberlake to help coerce the singer back to the studio. Timbaland worked with Justin on both of his recent platinum selling albums since leaving N-Sync for a solo career.

Ten years on - 'From ashy to classy'
Today marks the tenth anniversary of the untimely murder of one of Brooklyn's finest sons, Christopher Wallace, AKA Biggie Smalls/ The Notorious BIG. Signed to Sean Combs' Bad Boy Label Biggie had only two solo releases, Ready to Die and Life After Death both multi platinum selling albums.

The rapper was married to R&B singer Faith Evans and was romantically linked to Lil Kim, a member of his Junior Mafia click. The rapper left behind him a daughter from a previous relationship and a son with Faith.

His murder which took place in Los Angeles while the rapper was in town to promote his forthcoming album, Life After Death and to present an award at the 11th Soul Train Awards, to this day remains unsolved.

There has however been extensive controversy surrounding the murder of one of Hip-Hops Top Five Rappers, with evidence implicating that the LAPD may have played a part in protecting the murderer.

Famed for tracks such as Juicy, Hypontize and Going Back to Cali, Christopher Wallace is still a prevalent force in a genre of music that has lacked leadership since its Captains were slain.
