Goldie Lookin Chain are set for their return with a new album ready for release and a full UK tour scheduled for March. The welsh crew will even be playing one special gig for free at the Metro in London on January 14th, but fans will be asked to splash their cash if they want to leave at the end of the show. Sticking to what they do best, their comically named new album Asbo4Life, will be released on April 6th with single By Any Means Necessary, due on March 16th.
Asked what inspired the new album, the group's main writer, producer and mixer, Rhys Hutchings, aka P Xain, told CMU: "Mainly curry, weed and the constant wish it was summer, especially during summer."
His hopes for the new single were similarly low-key. Asked about his ambitions for it, he said: "I would like to get the single, By Any Means Necessary, played in all the night clubs on the coast of Spain. If we could get it to be played in Fuengirola I would be well happy."
And how about some advice for anyone thinking of buying some Goldie Lookin Chain music? "Make sure your parents don't know about it. No matter how old you are, they won't approve".
