Inauguration Ceremony
Performers and entertainers by the droves are offering up their services to perform at the President Elect's inauguration ceremony on January 20th.
Barack Obama is the first ever black President in American history and artists such as Beyonce Knowles, Mary J Blige, Puff Daddy and Jay Z are all on board to perform in Washington DC if required by the President.
It had been rumored that fellow Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson was to perform at the ceremony but those reports have been shot down by Obama's camp who explained that a committee has yet to be put into effect to organize the celebration.
Hotels in the Washington Area have been booked up for months for the 20th, before the winner was even announced.
Rihanna cancels show
A show which should have taken place in Indonesia last night with Rihanna as the headline act was cancelled.
The sultry singer was set to perform in front of a sold out crowd but was advised not to venture to the country after the three militants who planned the Bali bombing of 2002 were executed.
It had been speculated that their could be a rebel uprising after the executioned had their fellow brethren promise to encourage further attacks if they were in fact killed.
There is a possibility that the show might be rescheduled in January.
Lil Wayne shows up at CMA's
Considered the World's Top Hip-Hop act, Lil Wayne was present at the 2008 Country Music Awards earlier this week performing along side Detroit rocker Kid Rock.
The 42nd Annual awards held in Nashville, TN saw Lil Wayne a little out of his depth as he didn't get to do what he does best, rap.
The Hip-Hop star who has sold over 2.5 millions copies of his Carter III project since it was released in June stood alongside Kid Rock who performed his All Summer Long track while pretending to play the guitar.
Diddy takes on TV
Mogul Sean Combs who has starred on Broadway, shared the silver screen with the Oscar winning Halle Berry is now set to take on TV appearing in the long running police show CSI Miami.
Combs will play the role of a lawyer and the two episodes in which he is set to star are expected to air in the early part of 2009.
Combs was recently seen in the TV adaptation of Raisin in the Sun in which he appeared along side Phylicia Rashad and Sana Lathan.
