Janet pulls plug on Tour
Janet Jackson has left thousands of fans across North America and Canada reeling after cancelling her Rock Witchu Tour.
Jackson who missed close to two weeks of date due to vertigo allegedly had every intention of making those dates up but earlier this week it was announced that the tour was over and no missed dates were to be rescheduled.
This was the first tour for the 42 year old singer in seven years and the fact that Janet has cancelled all dates now has prompted even more people to think that the youngest of the Jacksonâs might actually be pregnant.
If so this would be the first child for Ms Jackson who is the girlfriend of mogul Jermaine Dupri.
Power and Money
Last night saw yet another Hip-Hop star kick start his reality TV career, this time the culprit was 50 Cent. MTV aired the first episode of 50âs show The Power and the Money which sees 14 young hopefuls go up against each other to win $100,000 of the rappers money to bring their own business idea to fruition.
50 adds his name to a list that has included Dame Dash and Sean Combs who have both involved themselves in similar projects. However 50 who always has to do something a little different is the only one to offer up money from his own pocket to help the winner achieve their dreams.
The rappers fourth album Before I Self-Destruct will be available on December 16th.
Prodigy Sick in Prison
It was reported earlier this week by long time associate and fellow Queens rapper Norega that Prodigy, one half of Mobb Deep had been administered the wrong drugs and could have died.
Prodigy who is currently in prison for 3.5 years on gun charges suffers from sickle-cell anemia and was allegedly given the wrong medication which had a serious effect on the rapper.
However a conflicting report emerged when Havoc, Prodigyâs partner in crime and the other 50% of Mobb Deep explained in an interview that his friend was in good health and was just counting down the days until his release. He was unaware of any problem with the rappers medication.
Cassidy links with Basketball star
Philadelphia rapper Cassidy who has been incarcerated for manslaughter and critically injured in a car accident in the last four years is gearing up to release his fourth studio album.
The former Ruff Ryder who was groomed by producer Swizz Beats will be releasing Language Arts on the label of NBA superstar Carmelop Anthony.
The Denver Nugget player follows in the path of Michael Jordan who successfully started his own record label Hidden Beach which plays home to the soul sensation Jill Scott.
Anthony's label Krossover Entertainment also plays home to rapper Berg. Cassidy's album is set to feature production from Cool and Dre and appearances by Rick Ross and Gorilla Zoe, just to name a few.
