In today's Daily Rap Cheryl Cole impresses will.i.am, Notorious BIG movie going well, Foxy Brown charges thrown out of court and DMX arrested for speeding.
Chery Cole impressive
Looks like Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole made such an impression on BEP front man will.i.am that he said if Fergie was ever to leave the multi platinum quartet, he would replace her with Cole. The Geordie lass worked with the front man and producer in his recent hit Heartbreaker.
Biggie movie impressive
The former label boss and close confidant of the Notorious BIG, Sean Combs has so far been extremely impressed by the performances in the biopic movie about the rappers life. The movie which just recently began shooting and which features Brooklyn rapper Gravy in the leading role has been talked about for years. The mother of the late Christopher Wallace is very involved in the movie and its direction. The Hip-Hop super mogul is being played by Derek Luke in the movie and Combs expressed in a recent interview with MTV that the actor is also 'doing a great job.' There is no release date for the movie as yet.
Foxy thrown out
Due to time served over the last year, Foxy Brown born Inga Marchand had charges thrown out of court as she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge in a court in Brooklyn yesterday. The charges stem from an alleged assault on a female in the rappers home borough where she allegedly attacked the victim with a blackberry. The case was thrown out of court following her plea. Her album is slated to be released very soon and is said to be 'some of her best work to date' according to sources within her camp.
DMX Busted
Trouble seems to follow Ruff Ryder's front man DMX wherever he goes. This time the rapper was arrested for speeding on an Arizona Highway, where he currently resides going 40 mph in excess of the 65 mph speed limit. He was booked and charged at Scottsdale County Jail for not only exceeding the speeding limit but reckless driving and driving with a suspended licence.
There have been numerous arrests made in and around Arizona for similar offences and local authorities were quick to point out they were just fulfilling their obligations as opposed to victimizing DMX.
