How time flies. Just two years ago the world woke up to the news that the voice of our generation, Whitney Houston, had been found dead in her hotel room.
As fans mourned, the music industry was hit with one of its biggest blows in history. The icon, the soul and the talent who had 11 Billboard number ones to her name had been snatched away in one of the worst ways possible.
Two years on, and it definitely still hurts. Whitney was scheduled to have one of the biggest comebacks of all time and in the eyes of those around her, was ready to kick her negative habits aside to pursue another fantastic notch to the belt of her career.
We have her to thank for such timeless classics as 'I Will Always Love You', 'It's Not Right, But It's Okay' and 'Greatest Love Of All' among dozens of others, and it's only right that today of all days we pay our respects to the fallen angel.
Rest in peace Whitney - you'll forever be missed.
