Alt-pop producer Thief AKA PJ Wolf has released his new electronic cover of 2002 Justin Timberlake hit 'Cry Me A River', with surprising results.

Stripping back the verses to just the simple bass line and hand clap, there's enough room for his vocals to float above before the brass-infected chorus kicks in.

Gearing up to release his debut EP later this month, 'Closer' is a record co-produced with Matt Redlich that will be showcased at a string of UK shows.

Those include The Great Escape Festival, as well as supporting Tomas Barford at his Birthday's Dalston show and the EP launch at The Sebright Arms on May 14.

The 'Closer' EP is released May 12 via Rabble Records.
