It’s Sam Callahan’s birthday, so to celebrate, we’re honouring the musician’s comeback by hosting the exclusive premiere for his brilliant new music video, for equally brilliant new single Say Something! You can check out the video – shot in the gorgeous Koreatown in Toronto, Canada - for the very first time below…
Speaking about the new song, Sam says: “The essence behind the track stems from a relationship that never fully developed, because neither party had the guts to truly express how they felt. Subsequently, if two people were brave enough to speak out and ‘say something’, there could have been a different outcome.”
He added of his return to music: “After spending years creating and nurturing your true sound as an artist, there comes a time where it begins to just come naturally to you, something from the heart that works for you and your own personality. Say Something was the first heave into a sound that is reflective of myself as an artist, and expressive of my own messages.”
It’s clear when reflecting back on Callahan’s releases to-date that this is a whole new direction for the star. After hearing the track for the first time, this is his biggest opportunity to-date to really smash, thanks not only to his infectious vocals, but the brilliant production from hit-maker Jamie Sellers. This may be another song tackling the ‘one that got away’ story, but it’s given a refreshing and unique take by Callahan, and we can’t stop singing along.
Nuneaton will play host to Callahan’s showcase performance of his new single, where he’ll perform alongside fellow former The X Factor contestant Leon Mallet On May 12, 2018, before heading to Canada for another launch of the track there.
Say Something is available to pre-order now on iTunes, with the track officially released tomorrow (Friday, May 11, 2018).
