As one of the most exciting acts we've had our eyes on in 2015, Stephanie Rainey is an artist we think everybody should be listening out for in 2016.
Emotional, honest and unassuming, she's a pop-meets-rock artist with a unique folk twist that allows her to dip her feet in a multitude of genres, blending them together to present something truly special.
One of Stephanie's songs in particular has resonated with audiences across the globe since its release, garnering over 3.5 million views on Facebook and over 430,000 via YouTube, with figures growing by the day.
Inspired by the tragic loss of her nephew a decade ago, 'Please Don't Go' is a relatable, tragic and gorgeous tune that everybody should hear.
Chatting about the music video for the track, Stephanie says: "It's hard to put into words what this video means to me and how grateful I am to the people who took part - it wasn't easy.
"A few years ago, I lost my nephew very suddenly and it was something that changed my life forever. I can still remember how it felt and I know there are so many other people who have gone through the same thing in one form or another.
"I feel like this song has resonated the most with me since writing it. I remember the exact place it came from and it never loses its meaning no matter how many times I play it."
Recently, Stephanie's been working on her new album set for a 2016 release, with material ranging from personal compositions in the same vein of 'Please Don't Go', through to soaring full-band anthems.
