As a recent signing to Island Records, everybody in the know has been waiting for Nick Brewer to drop something incredible after already making his mark on the music scene, and that's come in the form of the music video for 'Miss Online Superstar', featuring label mate JP Cooper.
Nick BrewerTaken from his EP 'Four Miles Further', the tune explores the world of social media and reflects the 'bare-all-online' mentality so many of us indulge in. An underlying message is woven throughout hinting at the vulnerability of social media users, as listeners are questioned: 'What happened to that pretty girl's dream?'
Matthew Walker directed the video, which itself depicts the protagonist using Instagram as a quasi-therapy and online pick-me-up - one that develops quickly into more worrying territory.
As obsession and the dangers of feeling secure in a public domain are picked upon, viewers may come to the realisation that all in the online world is not as it seems.
