Formerly one half of duo Mattafix, Marlon Roudette is going it alone after being signed to one of the biggest record labels on the planet - Syco Music.
With some of the biggest names in the business backing his career, Marlon is due to release his new single 'When The Beat Drops Out' in the UK at the end of the year.
It's already proven to be a smash across Europe, reaching number one in Germany and being streaming 10 million+ times online.
One of the musicians' most defining features is his implementation of favourite instrument, the steel drum into an uptempo anthem - a nod to his childhood spent in St. Vincent and his mother's native Trinidad.
Citing bands such as Ninetoes and The XX as inspirations alongside Sam Cooke, Gregory Isaacs and Massive Attack, Marlon manages to captivate and astound with his unique vocal.
'When The Beat Drops Out' is released in the UK on December 28 - the first single to be taken from forthcoming second solo album 'Electric Soul'.
