Depression is perception. Or so Marc Ford of The Black Crowes believes, and he expresses that view in his brand new music video for new track 'Blue Sky'.
The highly gifted rock guitarist believes that the world is painted in the way that you see it, based from the ideas in your mind.
The uplifting and poignant Americana-blues piece can be seen below - lifted from forthcoming album 'Holy Ghost', released next month in the UK.
That album has contributed vocals from not only his wife Kirsten, but his son Elijah who is now also working on his own album project.
Phantom Limb's Stew Jackson was asked to return a favour and produce the album with Marc.
Marc says: "One day it just dawned on me, wait a minute, Phantom Limb is the perfect band for this. I said ‘Stew, you allowed me to pull your baby apart and put it back together. I’ve never had a producer produce my own stuff. How about payback? You can do me now. I think I have some of the best songs I’ve ever written, and you’ve got a bitchin’ band.’ He just said ‘Get here.’”
