Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga made her comeback to the stage last night at the SXSW Festival, where her performance was the usual conglomeration of artistic boundary pushing, a fantastic vocal performance at the piano and OMG moments.
Starting out her hour-long set with 'Aura', she appeared on a spitroast on stage before asking the crowd if they wanted "barbecued bitch" and roaring her way through tracks from her latest album 'ARTPOP'.
At one point, Millie Brown joined the superstar on stage for a rendition of 'Swine' where she used her 'artistic vomiting' to drink green paint and throw it back up over Gaga's chest, before jumping onto a mechanical pig with Gaga and doing the same thing with black paint.
She then impressed with stunning vocals during 'Dope' where she told her fans how much she loved them because they always allow her to be herself, and apologised that she's not always being herself.
Rounding out the show with 'Applause' because "we were told we really had to", Gaga's friends including Semi Precious Weapons frontman Justin Tranter joined her on stage for a celebration of friendship, love and rock'n'roll.
"These are the original kids from the Lower East Side of New York City. We made it so far. We're not in Kansas anymore Toto." Gaga said before taking a bow, before concluding things with 'Gypsy'.
Lady Gaga is back. Now we just need that third single.
