Katy Perry's third single from her third studio album 'Prism' has received its music video, and unfortunately, it misses its mark.
Going down the comedy route, Katy dons a series of different coloured wigs as she sits on her Egyptian throne and refuses a string of men who bring her gifts including diamonds and Twinkies.
This shouldn't have been the track on which Katy chose to go cute and comedic - she should have stuck to her guns and kept original rumoured plans to take the video to a darker place, which would have coincided more with her choice of artwork for the single and witch-esque Grammys performance.
Alas, this is what we have been given, and although it is disappointing on some levels, there are moments of pure gold - both literally and figuratively.
Best moments include a tiny pomeranian offering himself to Katy-Patra, and the black, white and gold statue that Katy seems to get entangled with at one point.
Worst moment? When the dog's head changes into a humans. Creepy!
Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' is out now, and her Prismatic World Tour kicks off in the UK this May.
