Kate Miller

At just nine years of age, Kate Miller decided she was going to start writing songs with the inspiration she'd drawn from influences such as the Buena Vista Social Club and Paco Pena.

Growing older her musical inspirations expanded into the world of contemporary female singer/songwriters, including the likes of Lissie, KT Tunstall and Lianne La Havas.

Now she's 19 and hoping to take on the industry with her unique tone and intricately woven lyrical style, collaborating with a whole host of songwriters including Jim Irvin and Julian Emery (Lissie) and Ed Harcourt (Lissie, Paloma Faith).

Her single 'Black Rivers' has gained Radio 1 airplay and her most recent release 'Collar Up' was released mid-February.

She's preparing to release her debut EP this June, and you can listen to her latest release below.
