Bryan Adams

Whether they're good friends, looking to make a quick dime or hoping to further their career through another artist, there are constantly collaborative tracks being put out by musicians, but not all of them are good, and even more are forgettable.

With this in mind, we've taken a look back and chosen five collaborative pop blasts from the past which we loved, and got the world bopping along with great, big, cheesy smiles on their faces.

Bryan Adams and Melanie C - 'When You're Gone'

It spent a total of 15 weeks in the UK Top 40 and was named one of the top 100 best selling singles of the 1990s. 'When You're Gone' packs a firm punch, and was a treat for those who ever got to see it performed live with the two artists both on stage. The song was rerecorded with Pamela Anderson taking Melanie's vocals in 2005, but comes nowhere close to the original collaboration.

Nelly and Kelly Rowland - 'Dilemma'

This track deservedly won the pair a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and is one of the most memorable RnB turned pop tunes of the 2000s, being named the 11th most successful song from 2000 to 2009. What many people don't know is that the music video for the track was filmed in the same location Desperate Housewives went on to use throughout their series.

Enrique Iglesias and Whitney Houston - 'Could I Have This Kiss Forever'

Two beautiful vocalists that bring a sensual and exotic touch to a gorgeous song. Although they collaborated here, it was disappointing to find out they originally never met in person and the song was recorded in separate studios. However, they did meet for a re-recording of the track, resulting in a mid-tempo new version.

Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink - 'Lady Marmalade'

The controversy surrounding these stars is something we can't even begin to pick at, as jabs have been made ever since the production toward one another resulting in them never coming together since! Forgetting their probable dislike for one another though makes this track something special - pop divas of their day getting their groove on and proving that female power is something to be admired.

Beyoncé and Shakira - 'Beautiful Liar'

Sizzling hot, arguably two of the most talented women in the business decided it was time to team up and put out one of the biggest pop collaborations of all time.
