Ellie Red has a big fan in Sir Michael Parkinson.
"...a wonderful voice... What's to stop her?" he asked - and she's taking on the music industry and making waves already.
Winning a music scholarship with an assisted place to Taverham Hall School at just 8 years old, Ellie seems to have music in her veins.
The Royal Marines Band Service found themselves with Ellie as a member when she was 18, and during her time with the Royal Marines, she's travelled the world and provided musical support to both the Marines and the Royal Navy.
Singing solo at the Royal Albert Hall last year impressed many, but it was the Captain Steve Murdoch private dinner performance that won her a fan in Michael Parkinson, who went on to ask her to sing at a charity event at a later date.
In a whirlwind of success, Ellie is now ready to release her version of 'Feels Like Home' - written by Randy Newman - on Friday November 8.
Ellie will also be performing at The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance 2013, covered by BBC Radio 2 from 8-9pm and BBC1 from 9.15-10.50pm.
