Earth, Wind & Fire want to work with Maroon 5.
The legendary 'Boogie Wonderland' funk band are big fans of the 'Moves Like Jagger' group as well as neo-soul singer Janelle Monáe, and keep up to date with all the latest musical trends through their grandchildren.
The band's Philip Bailey told BANG Showbiz: "I love Janelle Monáe and would love to collaborate with her. I'd also like to do something with Maroon 5. That would be fun.
"There are so many other people I respect too, Stevie Wonder is a wonder. For real. I like to be inspired by my fellow musicians.
"I love classical jazz but I have seven children and six grandchildren so I get exposed to many different types of music which I love. Music that I wouldn't normally be into, so it's great for me."
Philip is also friends with another funk legend, Nile Rodgers, and is glad to see a renewed interest in his work after he collaborated with Daft Punk earlier this year.
He added: "Nile Rodgers is a buddy of mine. He actually produced one of my records and we worked together. I'm very happy with what's going on with him. He's got great songs, everything kind of repeats itself at some point and I think now we've got some great resurgence of some of the 70s players collaborating with up and coming musicians of today."
Earth, Wind & Fire release their new album 'Now, Then & Forever' on October 21.
