A new study commissioned by First Choice to mark the 10th anniversary of their all-inclusive Holiday Villages has revealed that the Black Eyed Peas' major hit 'I Gotta Feeling' is the nation's top summer anthem.
Produced by French DJ David Guetta, the song is one of the most downloaded tunes of all time after its 2009 release, and won the group a Grammy for Best Pop Performance after reaching the UK charts top spot.
Just missing out on pole position is another David Guetta produced track with vocals from Kelly Rowland for 'When Love Takes Over', whilst viral sensation Carly Rae Jepsen rounds out the top three with 'Call Me Maybe'.
'We Are Young' by fun. and Janelle Monae comes in at number four, and Dizzee Rascal's 'Holiday' takes number five.
Head of Music in First Choice resorts Luke Gaskins said: "First Choice recognises the important role music plays in creating the perfect holiday so we’ve built music into our all-inclusive Holiday Village experience and are encouraging people across the UK to add their favourite tracks to our Poolside Playlist on Spotify.
"The nation’s favourite tracks will then become the soundtrack to holidays across the world this summer."
