Last night (December 4, 2014) saw Annie Lennox lead a line-up of international performers at London's famous Abbey Road Studios, in what has been marked the world's first ever carol service by Kindlelight.
Steve Jones and MyAnna Buring hosted the event which saw Annie joined by one of the nation's favourite tenors Alfie Boe, Rockabilly talent Imelda May, million-selling sporting soprano Laura Wright, 6x Platinum-selling New Zealand operatic trio Sol3 Mio and the number one selling classical vocal ensemble VOCES8.
Steve and MyAnna read passages out at the event written by students from a new industry academy for 16-19 year olds, the East London Arts & Music academy (ELAM).
"At Amazon we like to do things a little differently, and Carols by Kindlelight was one of the most unique concerts this Christmas" said Vice President of Kindle Europe, Jorrit Van der Meulen.

For all our customers who couldn't join us in London, we're excited to make the concert available exclusively through Prime Instant Video. Annie Lennox said she had a "fantastic time" taking part in the concert.
"It's always such a special experience to perform there (Abbey Road Studios) as the building is so resonant with British recording history, so I'm sure that the magic of the evening will be transported beautifully to a global audience."
