Alan Bonner’s back with a whole new album this Monday in the form of Balladeer and because we’re the nice sort here at FemaleFirst, we’ve got an exclusive little sample from the album for you today.
The last track from the album, Better Man’s a gorgeous, intimate song but we think that Alan does a better job of explaining it.
He told us that “I was in a relationship with someone I loved dearly and when it ended they were able to move onto someone else very quickly. It affected me a in a big way and made me look at the mistakes I had made that lead to the relationships demise, but it’s not a sad song
“I wanted to give the message that if you dig deep and hang in there long enough you can overcome anything. I hope I’ve achieved that. If only one person listens to the album and feels more hopeful and less alone in the world then my job is done.”
While we’ll be letting you know later in the week whether Balladeer achieves that but for now plug in those headphones and spend the next two and a half minutes in the company of Alan Bonner. Trust us, it’s worth it.
