With two UK No. 1s firmly under his belt (three if you count his Black Eyed Peas production ‘I Gotta Feeling’), recent Grammy Award winner David Guetta returns on the March 15th with the release of his new single 'Memories' which features a very special guest in the shape of Kid Cudi.
‘Memories' combines the talents of artist/producer/remixer/DJ David Guetta with Kid Cudi's laidback vocal delivery, making for another immediately infectious pop / dance crossover hit.
The single is taken from David Guetta’s current album 'One Love'. Certified double Gold and fast approaching Platinum status. It features all of Guetta’s recent singles as well as an eclectic array of guest talent that also includes Kelly Rowland, will.i.iam, Akon, Ne-Yo, and Chris Willis.
Guetta’s recent run of success enjoyed another peak when he collected his first Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his Electro Extended mix of his collaboration with Kelly Rowland on ‘When Love Takes Over.’ He had been nominated for a total of five Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Album of the Year for his production work with The Black Eyed Peas, as well as Best Dance Recording and Best Electronic / Dance Album.
Throughout the agenda-setting ‘One Love’ album, Guetta serves up a body-rocking, all-embracing blend of hip-hop, soul and electro – an audacious fusion that's been sorely missed ever since rap and dance audiences became polarized at the turn of the 1990s.
With a global following of nearly five million celebrants at over 200 DJ performances last year alone, it’s no wonder that Guetta continues to be the figurehead that brings dance music to the masses. Each of the album’s vocal collaborations highlight arresting hooks alongside Guetta’s creative and groundbreaking production flourishes.
