In quite a classy move from Festival Republic, The Strokes and Pulp will be true co-headliners at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Whilst Pulp will close the show up north, The Strokes will headline the second day of the festival in Reading.
The indie superstar's debut recently topped a list by NME that crowned their album of the decade.
There should be a real party atmospere when The Strokes take to the stage.
They're the perfect fit for the indie leanings of the festival, and have enough of a name value to justify headlining the Saturday at Reading.
Earlier this year, the band began work on their fifth studio album, a quick turnaround after Angles was released in March.
The Strokes would do well to stick to the hits, though, to keep the festival crowd happy.
At Leeds, they have to remember that Pulp are taking centre stage.
Regardless, expect them to go all-out on both days and put on one of the sets of the weekend.
