When Standing in the Way of Control was released in 2005, it made little impression on the world. Que one skins advert and a re-release and it became one of the biggest songs of 2007. the show has also helped launch bands such as The Foals and and Feist

As well as being responsible for the Skins theme, he features heavily in the new series, with 5 tracks in episode one alone.

Amy Sawers

This scottish singer is a new find and is likely to hit the big time when her song appear in episode 7 later in the series of Skins. Track, Free Like The Sun won a competition to appear on the show. As the award suggests a great performer who no-one knows about yet. With an apperance of track Break on episode two , he is finally begining to get some of the recognition he deserves. Critics are falling over themselves and anyone else in the way to praise him so expect big things from him this year.

Eugene McGuinness

Thsi guy is no stranger to the music world having released two albums, The Early Learnings Of Eugene McGuinness and Eugene McGuinness . Both were met with huge praise from critics but failed to make an impression on the listening public.
