
Dandies
This seductive, rock n roll band The Dandies' were formed by a shared love of classic Amercian rock n roll by brothers Adrian Weber (Vocals / Guitarr) & Eric Weber (Lead Guitar / vocals) whose roots are in Baltimore, USA and their two Swiss friends Fabian Voirol (Drums) and Samuel Weber (bass).
Hailing from Lucerne, Switzerland,influenced by rock bands Kings of Leon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Velvet Underground and
The Strokes. They named themselves The Dandies: their love of music thrust them onto a stage with a burning ambition to create their own piece of history. In 2009 Samuel left the band to focus on his career in business, he was later was replaced on bass by their good friend Adi Schröter.
The Dandies are currently holed up in Leeders Farm Studio in the United Kingdom, which has in the past been home to acts like the Artic Monkeys, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds & The Darkness. Grammy nominated producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith (who recently co-produced the latest JET record) is behind the faders for the Dandies' debut record. Recording their album on tape they want to capture their electric live sound on record, they are ready to fulfil the promise of their early critically acclaimed records and explosive live performances, with their first full studio album.
Promising a raunchy, big hook rock debut that will throb with their unmistakable passion, thunderous rhythm section and infectious chorus' that give a fresh twist to their influences, like the anthemic powerhouse rock of the Kings Of Leon, and the new wave catchiness of early records of The Strokes, and many more of your favourite bands.
With a new single, new album, SXSW 2010 appearance and tour slated for next year, you won't be able to keep your eyes and ears off The Dandies' in 2010!
