StooShe

StooShe

Utterly uninterested in following the formula, this London-based three-piece have not only disregarded the girlband code of conduct, they’ve ripped it into teeny tiny shreds.

In this exclusive interview with MUZU.TV the girls discuss their sound and style influences, and who would be the first member of the band to fly solo!

London trio StooShe (pronounced STOOSH-E) invigorate the girl band formula with an explosion of anarchic attitude.

Having already delivered their X-rated introductory single ‘F**k Me’ and an explicit re-interpretation of Ini Kamoze’s 1994 dancehall hit ‘Here Comes The Hotstepper’, StooShe’s ferocious independence continues with their brand new single 'Love Me' featuring Travie McCoy, ahead of their debut album this summer.

StooShe have already been tipped for the top everywhere from the underground urban press to the broadsheets. RWD described them as 'majorly exciting' and that they represented 'a new strain of UK feminist activity', The Guardian compared them to 'an X-rated En Vogue', while Disorder stated: 'Think of St. Trinian’s but so much cooler.'

When asked to describe themselves in three words, Alex (20) who descends from Ghanaian royalty, says that she’s a 'big boobied blueblood.'

Youngest member and occasional rapper Courtney (19) 'quirky, bubbly and batty' and Karis (21) 'tattooed, bootylicious Brit-Brat.'

This is Destiny’s Child without the religion. Independent women with balls!
