Finally proving that real rock music can take it’s place on the Radio One airwaves, I’m pleased to say that Madina Lake have made it to our song of the week this week.
I know the Radio One clique try to act like they’re so down with the kids by championing the latest indie oddballs, but at long last, Edith and friends get a thumbs up from me as they start to recognise a good band when they see one.
So if you’re getting ready for your night out this weekend, I think it’s time to put the Now That’s What I Call Dance 1995 CD back in it’s case, and get your listening gear around a song to be proud of.
If that isn’t enough, the band was given it’s first kick into the limelight after Nathan "Nate" Leone and his identical twin Matthew Leone won a special edition of Twin Fear Factor, and used the $50,000 prize money to fund the band.
See, you don’t just have to win the X Factor to get a shot at the music industry, so come on, spend your pocket money on a real band this weekend.
