PW is one of the most promising new artists to surface from the urban scene.
Hailing from Edmonton, North London, PW, aka Akheim Allen, is set to make waves with his infectious new track ‘Sensible’ taken from his forthcoming mixtape ‘NKOTB’ (New Kid On The Block) and sees him emerge as a credible addition to the new-look British pop-urban sphere.
While a relative newcomer, at only 19 years old, PW has already made headway with his preceding warm up track ‘W.I.N.N.E.R’ that received a great response from key tastemakers and gained support from Radio 1xtra, Capital FM, Choice FM and video plays from Channel AKA.
Bursting with ambition, PW began rapping at the young age of 14, but it was during college that he began to take it seriously after being inspired by the progress of artists from his area that he admired such as Chipmunk and Wretch 32.
Determined, PW diligently spent every spare moment in the recording studio, developing his skills and perfecting the hallmark ‘PW’ sound and style.
Fastforward to 2011 and PW (whose stage moniker comes from from his childhood nickname ‘Peewee) is reaping the rewards of his hard work and is going from strength to strength.
Having recently completed an extensive school tour, a charismatic and personable PW has solidified a strong and ever growing fan-base who easily identify with him.
