Having conquered the UK airwaves with the electro-pop fizz of Beat Control, Tilly And The Wall follow up their Radio 1 playlisted single with the release of Pot Kettle Black, out on Moshi Moshi on 23rd February.
Indicative of the bold and eclectic mix on latest album âOâ, new single Pot Kettle Black swaps shiny electro for dirty riot blues as Kianna, Derek, Jaimie, Nick and Neely strop-stomp their way through a dizzying three minutes of riotous pop.
The Nebraskan quintet had UK audiences agog on their autumn tour with a veritable merry-go-round of hip shaking tap, overdriven guitar and dizzying keyboard hooks played out in some eye popping outfits. A highlight of Moshi Moshiâs 10th Anniversary party at Matter, they prompted a mass sing-a-long with a glitter-fuelled rendition of Erasureâs âGive a Little Respectâ.
âOâ, produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Lightspeed Champion), is their most collaborative effort yet; with the songwriting hat of every member thrust into the ring, the result is a cohesive yet wildly experimental record.
Drawing on four years of touring with the likes of Lightspeed Champion, Of Montreal and most recently CSS, the result is a vision of Tilly And The Wall more vivid, emboldened and immediate then ever before.
