The Wanted

The Wanted

The Wanted are set to be one of the most exciting new pop sensations of 2010, and will soon release their glorious debut single, All Time Low, through Geffen Records.

One listen to All Time Low shows that The Wanted are a million miles away from the old fashioned clean-cut boyband mould.  There’s a palpable rough and tumble energy and down-to-earth air to the fivesome who are not just band mates on the verge of pop greatness, they’re great mates.

The Wanted are bursting on to the scene with some star help too.  In a move that will put them head and shoulders above the competition, The X-Factor choreographer Brian Friedman is The Wanted’s performance director and will be developing a unique live show for the five guys, ensuring that their live experience will be one of the most exhilarating out there.

The boys, Max, Siva, Jay, Nathan and Tom, have been living together in London for the past year while travelling around Europe to work with some of the finest names in pop, including Danish pop maestro Cutfather (Christina Aguilera, Pixie Lott), Cathy Dennis (Kylie, Pink), Rami & Carl Falk (Britney Spears), Steve Mac (Leona Lewis, Westlife), Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, James Blunt) and chart-topper Taio Cruz.

All Time Low was written by Steve Mac and Wayne Hector and The Wanted’s Max reckons the anthemic track sums the band up perfectly.  “That song really nails what we’re about as a band. I love the way it just starts with a vocal and a few strings, and then it just builds and builds to this massive sound.”

The band will be releasing their debut album later this year and Jay lets fans know what they can expect. “I’d say it was edgy pop, but there’s a bit of rock and a bit of indie in there too.  It’s taking a bit of risk I think, it’s certainly not your usual boyband stuff.”
