Having already been lauded by the likes of Elle, RWD and the Guardian, Daisy is a fast-paced, glorious pop-hit in-waiting, the sibling-baiting Number One Enemy could prove to be a big hit not just on radios up and down the country but on dancefloors too.
The track actually played a crucial part in Daisy’s record deal finding her, as a family friend passed it on to a few industry contacts. "That's when it all started to go a bit crazy," remembers Daisy. "The people who'd got it were sending it on to other people, and suddenly we were getting loads of phone calls and MySpace messages. I didn't even have a manager. It was all pretty overwhelming, but in a good way."
Daisy Dares You is the nom-de-pop of Daisy Coburn, who hails from a sleepy village in Essex. Not surprisingly for someone born in 1993(!), Daisy’s still at school doing her GCSEs, but in between her studies she’s busy writing and producing her own music, an eclectic mix of brilliantly wilful pop songs, with the likes of Karen O and Courtney Love, some of the most iconic female figures in pop and alternative music, influencing Daisy’s music and attitude.
