Blatta & Inesha

The imitable Hell Yeah Recordings kick start the new year with a brand new remix series aptly titled, ‘Confuzed 90’s: Blatta & Inesha - Switched On Ramirez’. Rising stars of today’s scene take on the enviable task of remixing old school classics from yesteryears; giving these 90s hits a fresh new suped up twist.

After the resounding success of ‘Confuzed Disco’, a retrospective compilation of some of the finest Italo Disco from the legendary Bologna based label Italian Records, Hell Yeah’s very own label guru, Marco ‘peeDoo’ Gallerani, delved into his obscure Italo House back catalogue and pulled up some choice cuts and undiscovered gems.

Rounding up this year’s hottest new talent to deliver the best re-issues and remixes for ‘Confuzed 90’s’, come to expect weird spaghetti house, nu-disco re-interpretations, nu rave modified anthems and all mad funkiness in between.

First in line are hotly tipped Sicilian heroes Blatta & Inesha, who pimp up nineties techno supergroup, Ramirez, giving their tracks a heavy dose of electro tinged booty bass makeover, laced with the duo’s own blend of freshness and humour. Cult classics like ‘El Ritmo Barbaro’ and ‘Orgasmico’ are remixed for the cooler sound systems and clued up clubs.

For those of you who recall Ramirez, the music and the mad live sets, this 4 track EP has all the classic tracks and the new remixes look set to become a staple item in your record bag for months to come.

Early support comes from the likes of Bloody Beetroots, Lee Mortimer, Will Bailey, Boules a Facettes Blogspot and Congorock.

Blatta & Inesha will also be releasing another 12" featuring Congorock on Hell yeah very soon, so watch this space!

HELL YEAH! Keep on expectin’ the unexpected.
