Jelone
Introducing Jelone... An individual soul with effervescent energy and inspired electric grooves running inherently all the way through his musical veins. We welcome you to share in Jelone's dazzling expressive sphere and hope you enjoy the roller coaster that awaits.
Jelone's music is a rainbow of sounds that seamlessly blends pop, electro-soul, old skool R&B and funk with a myriad of personal influences. Picture a mass food fight breaking out between George Clinton at his maddest, Cameo at their sexiest and an angry Chaka Khan being cheered on by Bootsy Collins refereed by Sly and the Family Stone at Abbey Studios. Stick the resulting mess through a mixing desk and voila! You have the pot of musical gold that is Jelone.
Jelone’s foray in to music and performance began at an early age when he started out singing in Church in the Children’s choir. However, far too shy of the limelight's choking glare, Jelone took comfort firmly glued to the back row.
At 12 Jelone began to train in classical dance and never looked back. By 16 he was already a soloist with a professional touring company, training across the states on various scholarships with major dance institutions.
He landed in New York City after achieving a performing scholarship at University and it was here that Jelone immersed himself Boa-deep in the New York underground club scene with sometime uninvited PA performances! It wasn’t before long that Jelone was approached by a producer who invited him to sing on a club track. Upon hearing Jelone’s voice they began to work on Jelone’s own material and this is where the next stage of his musical career began.
Infectious, colourful and Perfectly formed pop, we dare you not to climb aboard.
