Gwen Stefani

As it seems as though everyone we know is either getting pregnant (or married), FemaleFirst have decided that it’s okay that we’re still left on the shelf, because we’re holding out for a buff rockstar to come and sweep us off our feet.

But whilst we’re waiting, we though we’d better do something rather than just swoon over our Hollyoaks Hunks calendar, so we’ve come up with out list of who we reckon are the greatest rock star mums, because let’s face it, we ought to give them a chance before we come and steal their crown.

So, our Queen of rock crown goes to loveable mummy Stacey Jackson who has been dubbed as ‘The Rocker-Mom Soccer-Mom’ after news filtered down about the release of her brand new album, ‘Upside Down.’

Not only that, but she’s working in conjunction with the UK’s leading children’s music charity, Music For Youth which nurtures musically talented kids, and Stacey has even used some of their skills on the new record – with all profits going to the charity!

Our full list of rock star mums is below:

Stacey Jackson - Rocking, gorgeous AND kind…. Go Stacey!

Chrissie Hynde - “Smelly cat, smelllllly cat…..” we love Chrissie and her charity work and Friends appearance. What’s more, during my interview with her I think I toned my stomach from laughing so much… what a hero.

  - “If I was a rich girl….” I’d kit my children out in super stylish clothes like their mum… and oh what I wouldn’t give for Gwen to take me on a shopping spree. My fashion inspiration for years now, she’s the best advert for red lipstick I’ve ever seen.

Madonna - “Like a virgin” obviously not anymore now that she’s a role model to little Lourdes, and her tots from Malawi David Banda and Mercy James.

Madonna - Down With The Kids

Tina Turner - “Simply the best” Unfortunately not in our list Tina, but you’re our number one rocking pensioner, if I’ve got a pair of legs like you when I‘m 70, I‘ll be more than happy..

Cher - “If I Could Turn Back Time,” hopefully you’d not erase your little bundles of joy Cher.

Annie Lennox - "A Thousand Beautiful Things," okay, so you might not have a thousand kids with your film producer hubbie, but I think two beautiful things is enough in your house.

Annie Lennox

Alanis Morrisette - “I’ve got one hand in my pocket”, and I’m guessing it’s paying for your kid’s scooters / schooling / sneakers Alanis.

Do you think we've missed anyone off? Let us know!
