Britney Spears...
With the BRIT awards causing havoc in Earls Court tonight, FemaleFirst have decided to award our favourite ladies and gentlemen of pop with the much coveted FemaleFirst Music Awards 2009...
I mean I know they'll be struggling to pick a red carpet outfit for tonight, but who cares when they're a FemaleFirst honouree, that's what they've all been working for!
Best Female - Britney Spears
Brtiney Spears had a tough time of it in 2008; although, with her very public meltdown, you'd expect as much. But as they say, all publicity is good publicity... and Britters took this to heart as she made a massive comeback towards the end of 2008.
Whether she stays on the rails in 2009 remains to be seen, nut so far so good!
Best Male - Kanye West
The Best Male 2009 award goes to Kanye for his incredible Glow in The Dark Tour. I have never before see a man take control of a packed out arena like Kanye West did.
Best Group - Girls Aloud
I think it's pretty obvious that the FemaleFirst office have a bit of a soft spot for the five stunning members of Girls Aloud; and their songs are pretty good too.
Although they have only continued their reign of their charts from when they began, we have honoured these pretty ladies as this could be the last year we see them together as Cheryl announces plans to head out solo.
Newcomer - Katy Perry
Katy Perry made sure she had all the ingredients before she thrust herself upon our earlobes, or should that be ear canal? either way; perfect body: check. Mental dress sense: Check. Superstar boyfriend: semi-check.
Off she went, with Travis from Gym Glass Heroes by her side (who she promptly dumped when her bank account reched over $1 million) and within just a few months she was kissing girls and liking it, presenting the MTV awards and getting us all hot ‘n cold.
We think she's got plenty more up her ruffled little sleeves.
