Ellie Goulding looks set to follow in the footsteps of Mika, Adele, Keane and Little Boots after coming out on top of the BBC Sound of 2010 list.
The 22-year-old from Hereford managed to fight off competition from fellow singer-songwriter Marina and the Diamonds, indie-dance stars Delphic, and electro poppers Hurts to bag the highly coveted gong.
Chosen by a panel of 165 music maestros, this looks set to propel Ellie to the top if last year’s winner, Little Boots’ success is anything to go by!
Her debut single 'Under The Sheets' was released in November, and her next single, 'Starry Eyed', is due for release on February 22.
