Thinking For Tuesday

Thinking For Tuesday

FemaleFirst are holding the only Band competition worth entering this summer, and through the sackfuls of entries we’ve had over the past few months, we finally have our five finalists who are poised and ready to compete on July 12 in Manchester.

But before they draw their drum sticks and battle it out in front of our industry judges for the chance to win some incredible musical prizes, including a weekend at 3 Sixty Studios in London, a makeover by The General Store and a year’s Public Relations from momentum PR, we thought it was only fair we introduced our musical warriors.

Let’s find out more about Thinking For Tuesday;

Who are you?

We meet every week to practise at central location - studio in Winchester

Describe the sound of your band?

We have been described as "radio rock with grunge heritage" and "melodic rock with heavy leanings".  Commerical and catchy with an innovative edge.

Who do you look up to within the music industry?

We all aspire to different bands and artists some of which include:
Pink, No Doubt, Third Eye Blind, Nickelback, Tonic, The Calling, Foo Fighters, Muse

What makes your band different from all of the others?

We like to use the range of influences within the band to help us create music that can offer listeners something new with each song and a bring a range of styles to our music whilst maintaining a distinct 'band' sound.  We believe each song stands alone rather than blending into to one another keeping our live and recorded material interesting to listen to and varied.

What have you achieved as a band so far?

Our building reputation has helped us secure support slots with Sham 69, Senser and Carter USM.  Our biggest triumph though has to be the recording of our debut album, Holding For A Reason, and the response it has had so far.

Where would you like to be in 10 years from now?

Out of our 9-5 jobs!  We are all dedicated to making our music a career and as successful as possible.  Whether we are playing Wembley, touring Germany, breaking America - we're not fussy as long as we can make a living from it.
