The Who have been officially confirmed for the final headline slot at this year's Glastonbury Festival, with the band taking to the stage on the Sunday night of the event held at Worthy Farm.
After months of speculation, they were revealed alongside Paul Weller who'll take up the penultimate slot of the weekend on the Pyramid Stage.
Roger Daltrey said following the news: "It's great to be ending this part of a 50-year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world.
"We'll do our best to close this year's event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!"
The headliners across the weekend also include Foo Fighters and Kanye West, with the festival taking place across the final weekend of June. Other acts confirmed to play are Paloma Faith, Pharrell Williams, Florence + The Machine and many more.
Meanwhile it's also been confirmed that The Who are to take part in Barclaycard presents British Summer Time at Hyde Park on Friday, June 26, coming just two days before their Glastonbury performance.
Guitarist Pete Townshend admitted that he doesn't enjoy performing live with the band, recently quoted as saying: "The shows? I don't like them. I don't find them fulfilling. But I'm brilliant at it. I find it incredibly easy. I drift through it."
