Slipknot have been revealed as the first headline act for Download Festival 2015.
The band are thrilled to be returning for the third time to Donnington Park on the opening night of the event, running between June 12 and June 14.
Frontman Corey Taylor said: "Being invited back to Download always feels like coming home. Headlining Download, for the 3rd time, feels like the culmination of a life's dream. It's an honour, a privilege and we're all looking forward to it."
Joining them as main support act for June 12 are Judas Priest, whilst both Five Finger Death Punch and Black Stone Cherry are also to perform that night.
Two further headliners are expected to be revealed later in the week.
2014's Download Festival saw Aerosmith, Linkin Park and Avenged Sevenfold top the bill.
Fans who don't want to wait until June to see Slipknot can book tickets for their tour of the UK in January.
The group will perform in Sheffield, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Cardiff and Nottingham before finishing in Birmingham on their joint tour with Korn.
