Red Hot Chili Peppers headline slot has been tipped as the highlight of this year's Isle of Wight Festival.
Promoter John Giddings believes this year's event, which takes place at Seaclose Park on the Isle of Wight from tomorrow until Sunday June 15, will be one of the best yet and thinks festivalgoers are particularly excited about the Saturday night closing performance.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We've had an incredible reaction to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers... They are the best performers of the generation.
"People have grown up listening to them and can't wait to see them.
"It's very hard to keep equal in the field but they are definitely up there with (previous acts) Coldplay and the Foo Fighters."
John also revealed the festival is set to be even bigger than before with more stages and new areas such as the 'Intoxicated Tea Rooms' and the 'Bohemian Woods' for revellers to choose from.
He said: "I counted that we have over 20 stages this year, and there will be a point in which I'm not going to know who is playing on what stages and what time.
"What I like is that people will be exploring all different things."
The Isle of Wight Festival will also feature performances from Kings of Leon, Biffy Clyro Clean Bandit, Boy George and The 1975 and is expected to attract around 90,000 people each day.
John added: "It's gone from strength to strength ... I am the luckiest man alive with the best job in the world."
