McBusted arrived on stage in a Delorean 'time machine' on Sunday July 6.
The super-group - comprising McFly members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, and Busted's Matt Willis and James Bourne - were lowered onto the stage at London's Hyde Park in the vehicle, made famous as the time travel device in the 'Back to the Future' movies following a video montage looking back on Busted's career highlights, before the six-piece launched straight into 'Air Hostess'.
Despite the heavy rain, the crowd's spirits couldn't be dampened as they danced and sang along to both group's most famous hits, including 'You Said No', Five Colours in her Hair' - during which a rainbow appeared over the stage as the weather began to clear - and 'Obviously'.
Midway through the set, the group headed to a second, UFO-shaped stage in the middle of the Barclaycard British Summertime crowd to perform several tracks, before returning to the main stage to end the performance.
The group left the stage after 'What I Go To School For' - which was performed to a backdrop of saucy doodles and cartoons on the big screen - and an excerpt of Tom's infamous wedding song was played, but the video was edited to have James and Matt crash the speech and they then all returned to perform 'Crashed the Wedding', all donning wedding dresses, apart from drummer Harry who was topless except for a bowtie.
Dougie then discovered he couldn't get his dress off so decided to finish the set in the gown, and after declaring they wanted to play the whole gig again, the group launched back into 'Air Hostess' for a second time.
They closed their set with 'All About You' and 'Year 3000'.
Earlier in the day, James had joined Backstreet Boys - who had hailed him as their "biggest fan" - to sing 'I Want it That Way' towards the end of their hit-laden set.
Other performers included The Vamps and Diversity, while performances from Lawson and Five were cancelled due to continuing technical difficulties in the Barclaycard Theatre.
