London five-piece exlovers have announced that they will be rejoining Golden Silvers on the road for a 15-date tour of the UK in April, starting in Birmingham on 5 April and culminating in Manchester on 26 April.
exlovers recently toured the UK in February with London singer-songwriter Emmy The Great and also supported Pete Doherty at his NME Awards Show at Shepherds Bush Empire.
exlovers will precede the tour by releasing a new double A-side single ‘Photobooth’ / ‘Weightless’ through Young and Lost Club - the label that launched the likes of Noah and The Whale and The Virgins - on 30 March.
Following on from the success of their debut limited single 'Just A Silhouette' through Chess Club Records, and produced once more by Jimmy Robertson (Florence and the Machine, Late of the Pier), ‘Photobooth' demonstrates exlovers' ability to interweave gentle boy-girl harmonies, jangly guitars and wistful lyrics, which all combine to create a dreamlike soundscape.
‘Weightless’ demonstrates a darker, edgier side to the band. Its sweetly sombre lyrical musings are met with lo-fi guitars, ever-developing vocal harmonies and subtle instrumental discord, reminiscent of a bittersweet Pavement.
