With only four weeks to go, this year’s V Festival, has got more bands confirmed than ever before and today we’re announcing a whole host of brand spanking new acts.

Playing in the Sessions Stage, these breakthrough artists will be appearing in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Stafford over the weekend of 16th & 17th August.

After its debut last year, the Sessions Stage returns with a top line-up showcasing the newest acts on the block. The stage gives bands the chance to bring their fresh new music, that’s breaking into the big time in one of V’s most intimate settings.

Bob Angus, Festival Director, comments: “Last year, the Sessions Stage was a hit with fans for an appetite for new music. This year we’ve got just as good a line-up and I’m really exciting about having bands like Das Pop and The Rushes that will no doubt be on the main stage in years to come.”

Set to win over many new friends at this summers V Festival, Infadels are back! Bursting with dancefloor energy, growling guitar melodies and chorus hooks in abundance, in short – the Infadels are not to be missed!

Spanning three continents, four countries and every branch of soul, SugaRush Beat Company isn’t a band, it’s a miracle! A miracle that will be spreading the love at this summer’s V Festival, all it takes is a little taste.

Bringing old-school soul into the new millennium is Birmingham born singer songwriter Bryn Christopher. With his effusive, charismatic live performances and scale-defying voice that demands your full attention from the very first note, Bryn Christopher is a must see at this years V Festival.

Glasgow has once more cultivated a gem of a band set to break thousands of hearts. Charming the V Festival audience, with their glistening harmonies, jangly guitars and lyrics, which tug at your heartstrings; Attic Lights are a band in love with the past while focussing firmly on the future.

Team Waterpolo, the most exciting thing to happen in Preston since the industrial revolution. Team Waterpolo are a party for your feet, ears and brain all at once and are set to wow the V Festival crowds.

The curly haired New Yorker Julien Velard with a sound like no other, a blend of skewed piano pop, simultaneously classic and a completely fresh sound will be performing at this year’s V Festival.

As well as indulging in the obligatory rock pastimes of drinking, bowling and beard growing, The New York Fund will be converting the crowds at V Festival, this summer.

Teaming a striking voice with a sharp sense of storytelling, Gary Go’s guitar and piano-led, hook driven sounds balance a unique edginess with universal appeal. Now the self taught-multi-talented musical auteur, that is Gary Go will be winning fans at this year’s V Festival.

Throw together a country-blues-loving guitarist and a metal head drummer and you get the Dodo’s. The former line cook and printer will be bringing their fascinating psych-folktronic sounds to this year’s festival.

Iglu & Hartly will be bringing their super high-energy live show and sonic antics for all to see at this summer’s V Festival.

Built around hooks big enough to tug down the BT Tower, Das Pop's spirited guitar-pop is humable, danceable, utterly infectious and making it's way to V Festival this summer.

Australian, pop-rock band, Sparkadia whose sped-up reggae puts a sunny spin on heartbreak, will be bringing their unique, timeless tunes to this year’s V.

With their surging melodic rock, with hooks so catchy they pop, The Rushes create songs designed to be played to huge audiences. Be prepared! The Rushes will be bringing their infectious, anthemic quality songs to V Festival.

Wigan/Liverpudlian foursome The Troubadours screamed on their John Leckie-produced debut entitled unsurprisingly, ‘Gimme Love’. And the UK has duly obliged. So there will be no surprises when The Troubadours create a stir amongst the V Festival crowds.

The solo artist Arnos Carstens is the biggest South African singer/songwriter on the rock scene. With Arno’s unique voice and creative ability, he is becoming the biggest selling South African English rock singers this side of the millennium and will be performing at this year’s V Festival.
