Operahouse
Released by Marrakesh Records, the label set up by the people who discovered The Killers, Operahouse are set to explode on the scene in 2009 with their brand of indie rock. The band is already being championed by Zane Lowe and their live style, described by the band as âA big, epic, sci-fi thingâ, already has a significant following. The band's debut album is due next Spring.
Iglu and Hartley
Signed to mercury, Californian exports, Iglu and Hartley gained instant recognition with their debut anthemic release âIn this cityâ which shot up the UK charts to number five. Since then, the band have toured the UK extensively and recently released their debut album âAnd then Boomâ in September. They will be performing their first ever acoustic set exclusively for Tiscali.
Craig David
Craig David entered the UK scene with a bang back in 2000, when at 19, he became the youngest UK male solo artist to top the charts with single âFill Me Inâ. He followed this up with six times platinum album âBorn to do itâ, and a string of other platinum releases. Now eight years later he is releasing his greatest hits, so you can expect some classics together with the new single, âInsomniaâ.
Justin Hawkins
Justin Hawkins shot to fame in 2002 heading up UK glam-rock band âThe Darknessâ. With a string of hit singles under their belt, Hawkins quit the band in August 2006. Hawkins, now fresh from his acting debut as Screaming Lord Sutch in forthcoming film Telstar, takes to the stage with his new band âHot Legâ. Currently touring the UK, the band are rumoured to be mounting a bid for the coveted Christmas number one slot with single, âI met Jesusâ. Hot Legâs debut album is planned for release it in early 2009.
