The Strokes will make their live comeback at next summer's Isle of Wight festival in Britain.
The New York band took a hiatus in 2006 and a planned reunion for 2009 was scrapped when singer Julian Casablancas announced his plans to release a solo album and tour.
But the group will reconvene in the studio in January, and now a comeback show has been announced - The Strokes will be among the headliners at the Isle of Wight event in June.
Jay-Z, Pink, Orbital and Blondie have also signed up for the annual festival. The news comes just weeks after top British music magazine the NME named The Strokes' 2001 debut This Is It the best album of the decade.
